Organizational overview
Under the strong leadership of Richard Ocansey, David Kumador and Eric Lamptey, Uccelli Ghana aims to equip disadvantaged communities with the skills they need to improve their livelihoods. The organization has built key partnerships with local businesses and NGOs, such as the La Ajeman Parliament and Loc of Glory, to ensure that its programs have a lasting impact. Uccelli Ghana operates under the governance of the Uccelli Association based in Switzerland and is committed to strict transparency, accountability and legal compliance.
Mission and vision
Uccelli Ghana's mission is to provide disadvantaged people with the vocational training, entrepreneurial knowledge and support they need to overcome barriers to education and employment. By providing comprehensive training in practical, in-demand fields, Uccelli Ghana aims to break the cycle of poverty, promote financial independence and foster community-driven growth.

Uccelli Ghana's vocational training programs are designed to provide practical skills that address the barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged people. The programs are tailored to the needs of local communities and cover key industries that provide sustainable income opportunities. The core programs offered include:
- Dreads (topknots): Students will receive in-depth training in various dreadlock techniques that are in demand in both the local and international beauty industry. Graduates will be prepared for employment in salons or as independent stylists.
- Wig Making: This comprehensive program provides participants with the skills to make high-quality wigs, a service that is in growing demand throughout Ghana and abroad. Participants are trained in various wig-making processes and supported in finding employment or starting their own business.
- Sewing and tailoring: The sewing program teaches participants the basic skills they need to work as tailors, seamstresses or garment makers. Participants can pursue careers in fashion, tailoring or garment manufacturing and have the opportunity to open their own tailoring business.
- Soap Making: This program focuses on teaching participants how to make and market organic, sustainable soaps. Participants are taught the production process and how to market and sell their products, providing a direct path to entrepreneurship and financial independence.
Each training program is structured with a clear canvas path, starting with an introduction to the industry, its history and basic tools. Participants then learn more advanced techniques to master the craft. These programs not only teach practical skills, but also teach participants how to use financial
